Brad Richter in Concert!
Brad Richter began teaching himself to play guitar and compose at age 12. At 19, having had no formal musical training, he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship to the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago where he studied with guitarist Paul Henry and began performing, composing, and eventually teaching professionally. Brad has performed around the globe as a soloist, with renowned chamber ensembles, and in duos with artists such as David Finckel, cellist of the Grammy-winning Emerson String Quartet and director of chamber music at Lincoln Center. Brad’s concerts and those of The Richter Uzur Duo (with cellist Viktor Uzur) are featured frequently on national NPR and PBS broadcasts including regular appearances on NPR’s Performance Today and a recent appearance on PBS’s WoodSongs!
Presented in conjuction with the Ada Arts Council.

Bobby Hendricks' Drifters
Bobby Hendricks' Drifters in concert, with 16 Top 40 Billboard Hirs including "Up on the Roof", "Save the Last Dance for Me", "This Magic Moment", "Under the Boardwalk", and "On Broadway"!

Chickasaw Tales
Steven Phillips (from the Communication and Performing Arts Department at E.C.U.) and Lori Robins (Manager of the Chickasaw Performing Arts Division and leading Chickasaw storyteller) have combined to write an original play titled, “Chickasaw Tales,” mainly aimed at a children’s audience, which re-enacts some of the most beloved Chickasaw stories. In the course of the production three Chickasaw children learn that the stories are not only meant to entertain but to pass down essential values which define the Chickasaw people.

Route 66: Finding Nat King Cole
Route 66: Finding Nat King Cole is a phenomenal one-man show featuring the multi-talented film and stage actor Jeff Obafemi Carr ("The Second Chance," "Blue Like Jazz"). This One-Act blockbuster takes us backstage to the dressing room of the actor tasked with bringing to life the music and memory of the great Nat King Cole, while struggling to maintain his own distinctive voice. The audience is taken on a remarkable journey filled with humor, sentimentality, and yes, the songs of the "Greatest Generation." Carr reveals little known details about the life of Nat King Cole while singing his music in a way no other actor before him has. By the time he appears as the King himself, you will believe you are actually witnessing the second coming of the velvety-smooth crooner as he lays out a greatest hits list that includes "When I Fall In Love," "Straighten Up and Fly Right," "Smile," "Unforgettable" and many more.

ECU Theatre Student Directed One Acts
A series of one acts directed by East Central Theatre students.

The Nutcracker
Performed by the Oklahoma City Ballet, The Nutcracker is the perfect family outing to celebrate the holidays.

I've Got a Little Twist
Performed by the Gilberty and Sulilvan Players. It’s where The Mikado meets The Music Man. Where the HMS Pinafore sets sail for Brigadoon.
Where The Pirates of Penzance take shore leave On the Town.
It’s I’ve Got a Little Twist —a one-of-a-kind show that proves the Gilbert & Sullivan repertoire is as fun, fresh, and full-of-life as, well, three little maids from school! See for yourself as New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players celebrates the legacy of Gilbert & Sullivan in American musical theater, featuring favorites from Rodgers & Hammerstein, Bernstein, Sondheim, Lerner & Loewe, Meredith Willson, and Jerry Herman. Life is a cabaret and so is this show—and as we all know, it’s always more entertaining when you add a little twist.

Once Upon a Mattress
Music by Lyrics by
MARY RODGERS MARSHALL BARER
Book by JAY THOMPSON, DEAN FULLER and MARSHALL BARER
If you thought you knew the story of "The Princess and The Pea," you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that Lady Larken's love for Sir Harry provided a rather compelling reason that she reach the bridal altar post haste? Or that, in fact, it wasn't the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you'll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.

Broadway by Jeri
A veteran of both Broadway and numerous national tours, Jeri’s Broadway debut was as “Frumah-Sara” in the Tony® Award winning, 25th Anniversary Production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. She has starred as “Grizabella” in CATS and “Eva Peron” in EVITA

An Evening with Groucho
Award-winning actor/director/playwright Frank Ferrante recreates his PBS, New York and London acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in this fast paced 90 minutes of hilarity. The two-act comedy consists of the best Groucho one-liners, anecdotes and songs including "Hooray for Captain Spalding," and "Lydia, the Tattooed Lady." The audience literally becomes part of the show as Ferrante ad-libs his way throughout the performance in grand Groucho style. Accompanied by his onstage pianist, Jim Furmston, Ferrante portrays the young Groucho of stage and film and reacquaints us with the likes of brothers Harpo, Chico, Zeppo and Gummo, Charlie Chaplin, W.C. Fields, Greta Garbo, Marx foil, Margaret Dumont and MGM's Louis B. Mayer. A show perfect for all ages!

Picnic
Winner of the 1953 Pulitzer Prize and the Critics Circle Award. The play takes place on Labor Day Weekend in the joint backyards of two middle-aged widows. The one house belongs to Flo Owens, who lives there with her two maturing daughters, Madge and Millie, and a boarder who is a spinster school teacher. The other house belongs to Helen Potts, who lives with her elderly and invalid mother. Into this female atmosphere comes a young man named Hal Carter, whose animal vitality seriously upsets the entire group. Hal is a most interesting character, a child of parents who ignored him, self-conscious of his failings and his position behind the eight ball. Flo is sensitively wary of temptations for her daughters. Madge, bored with being only a beauty, sacrifices her chances for a wealthy marriage for the excitement Hal promises. Her sister, Millie, finds her balance for the first time through the stranger's brief attention. And the spinster is stirred to make an issue out of the dangling courtship that has brightened her life in a dreary, minor way. (reprinted from Dramatists Play Service, Inc.)
